Harmonic Balance Studio
Voice Lessons.
Time
Students may choose from three different time increments recommended for different levels of study:
-
30 minutes- beginning
-
45 minutes- intermediate
-
60 minutes- advanced

Content
Location
Content of the lessons may include sight-reading/musical literacy, technical exercises (warm-ups or vocalises), song study, and/or performance anxiety intervention. Healthy singing is the goal and can be accomplished within any style of singing or genre of music. Song selection is guided by Shellie but ultimately determined by the student.
Currently, lessons are offered in the client's home only. Shellie travels to you and supplies a keyboard if you are without one.
"Consistency beats talent every time."
It doesn't matter if you want a microphone in your hand or your dream is to wear a horned opera hat on the MET stage one day-- Consistency. Matters.
If you want to change your physical vocal habits, you need to study on the regular. It doesn't need to be with me, but you should consider steady weekly lessons with some lucky teacher.

And remember, discipline CAN be fun!

Trial Lesson Info
Two things are necessary for a successful collaboration:
Trust and Chemistry.

The best way to figure out if our collaboration will be a success is to schedule a trial lesson. We can both decide after meeting whether we are a good fit and would like to collaborate long term.
Tell me more about this trial lesson...
The trial will consist of a first lesson in which we talk about your goals, your biggest assets, and what you feel might be holding you back a the moment. We will do a singing assessment that will include a warm-up and a song of your choice.

At the end of the lesson, you will have the following takeaways:
-
A sense of how I work and who I am
-
Technical assessment of your voice: what comes naturally to you and directions for further study
-
An assessment of your communication skills: what comes naturally to you and tips for further study
-
Future song suggestions
